Concept design for an upcoming sports bar.

The Concept Jersey's is a concept upscale sports bar by Jennifer Heyward and her partner. Since her idea is to fuse two seemingly opposite genres into one. So therein lied the challenge to create a logo that embodied both worlds.

The Logo Creating a logo that mingled the atmosphere of an upscale bar and the feel of a down-to-earth sports bar was challenging. I decided to go with a letterman's typeface influence to evoke familiarity with sports. I created a thinner, softer look to make it feel a bit more posh. And since the Y has a similar shape as a martini glass, it was a bit of a no-brainer.

Branding Since Jersey's will be more of a night spot, it's look and feel had to cater to that crowd. The dark color and overlay treatment with the wine accent color works well for that purpose. The whole design needs to be perceived in a way that affects even their dress code.
